What is Gold Purity?

Gold Purity : Why is Gold so important in the jewelry business?

Gold is regarded as one of the most durable and costly metals used in the jewelry industry. It is an element that not only has a pleasing physical look, but also never tarnishes and is extremely long-lasting. Many people prefer to wear it on a daily basis because it never rusts and is simple to clean.

So, why is gold so costly?

It has no negative reactions and has a constant value, gold is considered a usable element when producing jewelry. Not only does it have a great social standing, but it's also evergreen and looks good on everyone. It can be worn on any occasion and basically goes with every outfit!

The karat number indicates the purity of the gold. Alloys are incorporated into the naturally soft pure gold, to harden it and make it endure a lifetime. The highest purity of gold is 24 carats (pure gold,) but any jewelry made out of 24K is extremely malleable. 18 carat gold is approximately 75% pure gold and 25% other metals (18/24). 14-karat gold, for example, is 14/24, or 58.33% pure gold.
